Suzuki Splash – Review update

Posted in Reviews

Well, It seems that the car I had to review “Suzuki Splash 2009 Model” which had some kind of issue at first I generally thought it maybe me not being use to the driving place.
However this was not the case I asked a few friends to drive it to see if it works for them any better which it did not, The problem is the pedals for Clutch,Brake,Accelerator are all so small and lack any width, It makes operating the car hard, Soon as you try release the clutch slowly it will kick back forcing the pedal up without smoothly going up, Meaning most of the time car judders when setting off or stalls.

This is a slight problem, Car has been given back to Suzuki who are looking into it, But rest assured I am positive that it’s the pedals size which are the problem, So take that into mind when buying a Splash, You may need to buy after-market Pedal covers to make them have more width, However it could also be a clutch issue itself it feels like a cable clutch and cable is snagging, I will post an update when Suzuki have determined the problem, I couldn’t take a look myself as it’s not my car so taking anything apart and checking if it can be fixed is something I wouldn’t even try.

It’s not a major problem don’t let this put you off buying a Suzuki splash, It’s just irritating after a while but if this happens to you take your car back to Suzuki who will sort the problem out free of charge – Covered under warranty.

The Suzuki Splash is a type of mini-MPV model which offers low CO2 emissions and high fuel economy compared to other vehicles of the same size, The model that we tested was the 1.2L 84.5 BHP manual, With a top speed of 109 mph and a 0-60 of 12.3 Seconds With the added benefit of car tax being as cheap as £35 per year which is a saving compared to any older vehicle of the same size as the splash.

With a combined fuel consumption of 56.5 mpg, The Suzuki Splash will provide families with both an economical and stylish offering which delivers the same fun-to-drive character, with agile, confidence-inspiring handling thanks to the highly acclaimed Suzuki Swift platform.

With prices starting from £9,295 to £11,185, The Suzuki splash is a great car to help in saving you money on cost of running and maintaining a car but also help’s in cutting down CO2 Emissions emitted by all car owners who recklessly buy a car based on its look’s purely however sometimes we have to think things through and think about the cost of running and maintaining them long-term.

Suzuki mainly advertise the Splash as a perfect female’s car, I believe that is incorrect and actually its a car that both women and men can drive – Depending on the colour for a few people.

The splash without going into a-lot of detail has many of the features most of the cars today have e.g “ABS,Power steering, MP3 Compatible CD player, Tilt adjusting steering wheel, Remote Control central locking, 2 Cup holders , 2 bottle holders, Remote lid fuel opener and much more”

So the splash is positively not lacking in features or design making it the perfect car for the small family, If buying a car why not visit your local Suzuki showroom and take a FREE test drive in a splash and see how you feel..!!
